उपेतम अन्यैश च तदा मृगैर मृदु निनादिभिः ते गन्धमादन वनं तन नन्दनवनॊपम ॥ ३-१५५-३६ ॥
'With gentle sounds, (they accompanied) the other animals, and then they entered the forest of Gandhamadana, which was like a pleasure garden (Nandana garden).' ॥ 3-155-36 ॥
english translation
मुदिताः पाण्डुतनया मनॊ हृदयनन्दनम विविशुः करमशॊ वीरा अरण्यं शुभकाननम ॥ ३-१५५-३७ ॥
'The valiant sons of Pandu, accompanied by Draupadi and the high-souled Brahmanas, gradually entered the enchanting forest of Gandhamadana.' ॥ 3-155-37 ॥
english translation
दरौपदी सहिता वीरास तैश च विप्रैर महात्मभिः शृण्वन्तः परीतिजननान वल्गून मदकलाञ शुभान शरॊत्ररम्यान सुमधुराञ शब्दान खग मुखेरितान ॥ ३-१५५-३८ ॥
'This sacred forest, akin to the celestial Nandana gardens, was delightful to the mind and heart, adorned with beautiful groves, and worthy of habitation. As they ventured further, their ears were graced by the melodious calls of birds—exceedingly sweet, elegant, and captivating.' ॥ 3-155-38 ॥

सर्वर्तुफलभाराढ्यान सर्वर्तुकुसुमॊज्ज्वलान पश्यन्तः पादपांश चापि फलभार वनामितान ॥ ३-१५५-३९ ॥
'These harmonious notes, imbued with joyous exuberance, filled the air, enchanting all who heard them. They marveled at the diverse array of trees, their branches bent low under the weight of fruits ripening in all seasons, and ever adorned with radiant blossoms.' ॥ 3-155-39 ॥

आम्रान आम्रातकान फुल्लान नारिकेलान सतिन्दुकान अजातकांस तथा जीरान दाडिमान बीजपूरकान ॥ ३-१५५-४० ॥
'Blossoming mangoes and hog-plums, Coconut trees and tindukas in full bloom, Ajatakas and ripened citrons, Pomegranates and seed-laden lemons.' ॥ 3-155-40 ॥
