शलेष्मातकी कषीणवर्चः शृणॊषि; उताहॊ तवां सतुतयॊ मादयन्ति हस्तीव तवं जनक वितुद्यमानॊ; न मामिकां वाचम इमां शृणॊषि ।। ३-१३४-२८ ।।

sanskrit

'O Janaka, it seems my words fall on deaf ears, as if you have been stupefied by the fruit of the Śleṣmātakī tree. Or perhaps the intoxication of flattery has dulled your senses, for though my words strike you like a goad upon an elephant, you choose not to heed them.' ।। 3-134-28 ।।

english translation

zaleSmAtakI kaSINavarcaH zRNòSi; utAhò tavAM satutayò mAdayanti hastIva tavaM janaka vitudyamAnò; na mAmikAM vAcama imAM zRNòSi || 3-134-28 ||
