अग्निर दहञ जातवेदाः सतां गृहान; विसर्जयंस तेजसा न सम धाक्षीत बालेषु पुत्रेषु कृपणं वदत्सु; तथा वाचम अवचिन्वन्ति सन्तः ॥ ३-१३४-२७ ॥
'Just as Agni, discerning the virtuous from the wicked, spares the righteous from his flames and favors them, so too do the wise evaluate even the words of youth, lacking eloquence, and uphold them when they are just.' ॥ 3-134-27 ॥
