[अस्ट] अन्धस्य पन्था बधिरस्य पन्थाः; सत्रियः पन्था वैवधिकस्य पन्थाः राज्ञः पन्था बराह्मणेनासमेत्य समेत्य; तु बराह्मणस्यैव पन्थाः ॥ ३-१३३-१ ॥
'Aṣṭāvakra said, "When no Brahmana is encountered on the path, it is the way of the blind, the deaf, women, burden bearers, and kings, each in their own turn. But when a Brahmana is met, the path belongs solely to him."' ॥ 3-133-1 ॥
english translation
[र] पन्था अयं ते ऽदय मया निसृष्टॊ; येनेच्छसे तेन कामं वरजस्व न पावकॊ विद्यते वै लघीयान; इन्द्रॊ ऽपि नित्यं नमते बराह्मणानाम ॥ ३-१३३-२ ॥
'Thereupon, the king said, "I grant you the privilege to enter. Therefore, go in by whichever path you choose. No fire, however small, should be dismissed. Even Indra himself bows to the Brahmanas."' ॥ 3-133-2 ॥

[अस्ट] यज्ञं दरष्टुं पराप्तवन्तौ सवतात; कौतूहलं नौ बलवद वै विवृद्धम आवां पराप्ताव अतिथी संप्रवेशं; काङ्क्षावहे दवारपते तवाज्ञाम ॥ ३-१३३-३ ॥
'At this, Aṣṭāvakra said, "We have come, O ruler of men, to witness your sacred sacrifice, and our curiosity, O king, is vast. We have arrived as guests and seek your permission to enter."' ॥ 3-133-3 ॥

ऐन्द्रद्युम्नेर यज्ञदृशाव इहावां; विवक्षू वै जनकेन्द्रं दिदृक्षू न वै करॊधाद वयाधिनैवॊत्तमेन; संयॊजय दवारपाल कषणेन ॥ ३-१३३-४ ॥
'We two wish to see Janaka's sacrifice at Indradyumna and wish to see King Janaka; Do not, out of anger, afflict us with the supreme disease of a moment's delay by the doorkeeper.' ॥ 3-133-4 ॥
english translation
[दवारप] बन्देः समादेश करा वयं सम; निबॊध वाक्यं च मयेर्यमाणम न वै बालाः परविशन्त्य अत्र विप्रा; वृद्धा विद्वांसः परविशन्ति दविजाग्र्याः ॥ ३-१३३-५ ॥
'We are under the orders of Bandi; understand the message I convey: Children (bala) do not enter here, only elderly learned brahmins (vriddha vidvamsa), the foremost among the twice-born, may enter.' ॥ 3-133-5 ॥
