ररक्ष सा चाप्य अति तं सुमन्त्रं; जातॊ ऽपय एवं न स शुश्राव विप्रः उद्दालकं पितृवच चापि मेने; अष्टावक्रॊ भरातृवच छवेत केतुम ॥ ३-१३२-१५ ॥
'She protected him well with good counsel/guidance (sumantram); though born thus, he did not hear/learn from the Vipra (learned one/brahmin). He regarded Uddalaka as his father, and Shvetaketu as his brother.' ॥ 3-132-15 ॥
