ततस ते परत्यबुध्यन्त ऋषयः स नराधिपाः निष टॊयं तं च कलशं ददृशुः सर्व एव ते ॥ ३-१२६-१६ ॥
'Soon after, the saints, along with the ascetic, awoke from their slumber and noticed that the water in the jar had disappeared.' ॥ 3-126-16 ॥
english translation
कस्य कर्मेदम इति च पर्यपृच्छन समागताः युवनाश्वॊ मयेत्य एव सत्यं समभिपद्यत ॥ ३-१२६-१७ ॥
'They then gathered together and began to inquire as to who might have drunk it. Then Yuvanaswa truthfully admitted that it was his act.' ॥ 3-126-17 ॥
english translation
न युक्तम इति तं पराह भगवान भार्गवस तदा सुतार्थं सथापिता हय आपस तपसा चैव संभृताः ॥ ३-१२६-१८ ॥
'Then the revered son of Bhrigu spoke unto him, saying, "It was not proper. This water had been infused with a special power through my austerities, and was placed here with the intention of granting you a son."' ॥ 3-126-18 ॥
english translation
मया हय अत्राहितं बरह्म तप आस्थाय दारुणम पुत्रार्थं तव राजर्षे महाबलपराक्रम ॥ ३-१२६-१९ ॥
'I had invested it with the sacred energy of my penance for that very purpose. O saintly king, of mighty valor and physical strength! A son of immense power and courage would have been born to you, one strengthened by austerities.' ॥ 3-126-19 ॥
english translation
महाबलॊ महावीर्यस तपॊबलसमन्वितः यः शक्रम अपि वीर्येण गमयेद यमसादनम ॥ ३-१२६-२० ॥
'He would have been a mighty warrior of great strength, endowed with the power of austerity, one whose valor could have sent even Indra himself to the abode of Yama, the god of death.' ॥ 3-126-20 ॥
