समुद्रश च यथा पीतः कारणार्थे महात्मना वातापिश च यथा नीतः कषयं स बरह्म हा परभॊ अगस्त्येन महाराज यन मां तवं परिपृच्छसि ॥ ३-१०८-१९ ॥

sanskrit

'How the great sage consumed the ocean for a noble purpose; and how, O Lord, Vatapi, the slayer of Brahmanas, met his fate at the hands of Agastya.' ॥ 3-108-19 ॥

english translation

samudraza ca yathA pItaH kAraNArthe mahAtmanA vAtApiza ca yathA nItaH kaSayaM sa barahma hA parabhò agastyena mahArAja yana mAM tavaM paripRcchasi ॥ 3-108-19 ॥
