संपूज्यमानस तरिदशैर महात्मा; गन्धर्वतूर्येषु नदत्सु सर्वशः दिव्यैश च पुष्पैर अवकीर्यमाणॊ; महार्णवं निःसलिलं चकार ॥ ३-१०३-६ ॥
'By your grace, the universe along with its gods may be spared from devastation.” The magnanimous one, celebrated by the gods—while celestial musicians played all around and divine flowers rained down upon him—rendered the vast ocean dry.' ॥ 3-103-6 ॥

दृष्ट्वा कृतं निःसलिलं महार्णवं; सुराः समस्ताः परमप्रहृष्टाः परगृह्य दिव्यानि वरायुधानि; तान दानवाञ जघ्नुर अदीनसत्त्वाः ॥ ३-१०३-७ ॥
'Seeing the vast ocean stripped of its water, the assembly of gods rejoiced greatly. Armed with their finest celestial weapons, they courageously fell upon the demons, slaying them without hesitation.' ॥ 3-103-7 ॥

ते वध्यमानास तरिदशैर महात्मभिर; महाबलैर वेगिभिर उन्नदद्भिः न सेहिरे वेगवतां महात्मनां; वेगं तदा धारयितुं दिवौकसाम ॥ ३-१०३-८ ॥
'Assailed by the noble gods, who were strong, swift, and roaring fiercely, the demons could not withstand the onslaught of their valiant and agile foes, O descendant of Bharata!' ॥ 3-103-8 ॥

ते वध्यमानास तरिदशैर दानवा भीमनिस्वनाः चक्रुः सुतुमुलं युद्धं मुहूर्तम इव भारत ॥ ३-१०३-९ ॥
'In their fierce battle with the gods, the demons bellowed loudly and engaged in a terrible conflict.' ॥ 3-103-9 ॥

ते पूर्वं तपसा दग्धा मुनिभिर भावितात्मभिः यतमानाः परं शक्त्या तरिदशैर विनिषूदिताः ॥ ३-१०३-१० ॥
'Initially weakened by the powerful penances of the perfected sages, the demons, despite their utmost efforts, were ultimately slaughtered by the gods.' ॥ 3-103-10 ॥
