O subduer of enemies, for these fourteen years I have not seen Draupadī, the truth-speaking one, worn down by concern for her sons.

english translation

Surely a person does not attain happiness through meritorious deeds alone; for if Draupadī, of such conduct, does not attain enduring happiness, then the connection is not straightforward.

english translation

O Kṛṣṇa, neither Arjuna (Bībhatsu), nor Yudhiṣṭhira, nor Bhīmasena, nor even the twin brothers were as dear to me as that moment when I did not have to be seen as a woman brought into the royal assembly.

english translation

Nothing more painful has ever befallen me than this: that I, Draupadī, standing without proper covering, was made to approach the presence of my elders-by-marriage.

english translation

I was brought in by an ignoble agent, driven by anger and greed; and all the Kurus looked on as I stood in the assembly with only a single garment.
