देवर्षयः पुण्यकृतो ब्राह्मणाश्च बहुश्रुताः । राजर्षयश्च दाशार्ह मानयन्तस्तपस्विनः॥५-८१-६६॥
O Dāśārha, divine seers are here—doers of merit—along with learned brāhmaṇas and royal seers as well, all honouring the ascetics.
english translation
देवासुरस्य द्रष्टारः पुराणस्य महाद्युते । समेतं पार्थिवं क्षत्रं दिदृक्षन्तश्च सर्वतः॥५-८१-६७॥
O great-splendoured one, there have come those who witnessed the ancient conflict of devas and asuras; and from every side have gathered those who wish to behold the assembled royal order of kṣatriyas.
english translation
सभासदश्च राजानस्त्वां च सत्यं जनार्दन । एतन्महत्प्रेक्षणीयं द्रष्टुं गच्छाम केशव॥५-८१-६८॥
The members of the assembly and the kings—and you as well, O Janārdana—should truly go. O Keśava, let us go to behold this great spectacle, worthy of seeing.
english translation
धर्मार्थसहिता वाचः श्रोतुमिच्छाम माधव । त्वयोच्यमानाः कुरुषु राजमध्ये परंतप॥५-८१-६९॥
O Mādhava, we wish to hear words grounded in dharma and artha, spoken by you among the Kurus in the midst of kings, O subduer of foes.
english translation
भीष्मद्रोणादयश्चैव विदुरश्च महामतिः । त्वं च यादवशार्दूल सभायां वै समेष्यथ॥५-८१-७०॥
Bhīṣma, Droṇa, and others, and Vidura of great intellect—and you as well, O tiger among the Yādavas—will indeed assemble in the court.
