शक्ष्यन्ति हि महाबाहो पाण्डवाः सृञ्जयैः सह । धार्तराष्ट्रबलं घोरं क्रुद्धं प्रतिसमासितुम्॥५-८०-११॥
For, O mighty-armed one, the Pāṇḍavas together with the Sṛñjayas will be able to confront, in ordered engagement, the formidable and enraged force of the Dhārtarāṣṭras.
english translation
न हि साम्ना न दानेन शक्योऽर्थस्तेषु कश्चन । तस्मात्तेषु न कर्तव्या कृपा ते मधुसूदन॥५-८०-१२॥
For with them no aim can be achieved, neither by conciliation nor by concessions; therefore, O Madhusūdana, extend to them no indulgent leniency.

साम्ना दानेन वा कृष्ण ये न शाम्यन्ति शत्रवः । मोक्तव्यस्तेषु दण्डः स्याज्जीवितं परिरक्षता॥५-८०-१३॥
O Kṛṣṇa, against adversaries who are not pacified by conciliation or by gifts, coercive royal discipline should be applied by one who is safeguarding life.

तस्मात्तेषु महादण्डः क्षेप्तव्यः क्षिप्रमच्युत । त्वया चैव महाबाहो पाण्डवैः सह सृञ्जयैः॥५-८०-१४॥
Therefore, O Acyuta, a severe disciplinary measure should be deployed against them without delay—by you, O mighty-armed one, together with the Pāṇḍavas and the Sṛñjayas.
english translation
एतत्समर्थं पार्थानां तव चैव यशस्करम् । क्रियमाणं भवेत्कृष्ण क्षत्रस्य च सुखावहम्॥५-८०-१५॥
This course lies within the power of the sons of Pṛthā and also enhances your renown; if carried out, O Kṛṣṇa, it would conduce to the welfare of the kṣatra order.
