तथा नरानभिक्रुद्धं निघ्नन्तं क्षत्रियर्षभान् । द्रष्टा मां त्वं च लोकश्च विकर्षन्तं वरान्वरान्॥५-७४-१६॥
And you—and the people as well—will see me, enraged, striking down the foremost of kṣatriyas, and dragging away the best among the best.
english translation
न मे सीदन्ति मज्जानो न ममोद्वेपते मनः । सर्वलोकादभिक्रुद्धान्न भयं विद्यते मम॥५-७४-१७॥
My marrow does not fail, nor does my mind recoil. Even if the entire world were enraged against me, no fear arises in me.
english translation
किं तु सौहृदमेवैतत्कृपया मधुसूदन । सर्वांस्तितिक्षे संक्लेशान्मा स्म नो भरता नशन्॥५-७४-१८॥
Yet this is only out of friendship, O Madhusūdana, and out of compassion. I endure all hardships; do not let the Bharatas be destroyed because of us.
