Bhīmasena said: O Madhusūdana, speak in whatever manner may bring peace among the Kurus; do not intimidate them by speaking of the undertaking of war.

english translation

He is resentful, ever inflamed, and hostile to what is beneficial, though he deems himself high-minded. Duryodhana should not be addressed harshly; deal with him by conciliation alone.

english translation

By nature he is of harmful disposition, his mind akin to that of predatory men; intoxicated by the pride of power, he has forged enmity with the Pāṇḍavas.

english translation

He is short-sighted, harsh, contemptuous, and fierce in his exertion; his anger is long, he is hard to guide, of harmful intent, and fond of deceit.

english translation

Even if he were to die, he would not bend; nor would he abandon his own opinion. With such a person, O Kṛṣṇa, I consider conciliation exceedingly difficult.
