वैशंपायन उवाच । इत्युक्त्वा संजयं भूयः पर्यपृच्छत भारत । विधित्सुः प्राप्तकालानि ज्ञात्वा परपुरंजयः॥५-५४-६६॥
Vaiśaṃpāyana said: Having spoken thus, O Bhārata, he again questioned Sañjaya further—seeking to determine the proper course at the fitting time, after understanding the situation; he, the conqueror of enemy cities.
