मत्समो हि गदायुद्धे पृथिव्यां नास्ति कश्चन । नासीत्कश्चिदतिक्रान्तो भविता न च कश्चन॥५-५४-३१॥
In mace-combat, no one on earth is equal to me. No one has surpassed me, and no one will surpass me.
english translation
युक्तो दुःखोचितश्चाहं विद्यापारगतस्तथा । तस्मान्न भीमान्नान्येभ्यो भयं मे विद्यते क्वचित्॥५-५४-३२॥
I am disciplined, accustomed to hardship, and likewise accomplished in training; therefore I have no fear of Bhīma or of anyone else at any time.
english translation
दुर्योधनसमो नास्ति गदायामिति निश्चयः । संकर्षणस्य भद्रं ते यत्तदैनमुपावसम्॥५-५४-३३॥
It is certain that in the mace there is none equal to Duryodhana. Good fortune to you: it was for this reason that he stayed near Saṃkarṣaṇa (Balarāma).
english translation
युद्धे संकर्षणसमो बलेनाभ्यधिको भुवि । गदाप्रहारं भीमो मे न जातु विषहेद्युधि॥५-५४-३४॥
In the stratagems of war I am comparable to Saṃkarṣaṇa, and upon this earth I surpass others in bodily might. In battle, Bhīma would never be able to endure a blow from my mace.

एकं प्रहारं यं दद्यां भीमाय रुषितो नृप । स एवैनं नयेद्घोरं क्षिप्रं वैवस्वतक्षयम्॥५-५४-३५॥
O King, if in anger I were to deliver a single strike to Bhīma, that blow alone would swiftly send him to the dreadful abode of Vaivasvata (Yama).
