इत्यब्रवीदर्जुनो योत्स्यमानो गाण्डीवधन्वा लोहितपद्मनेत्रः । न चेद्राज्यं मुञ्चति धार्तराष्ट्रो युधिष्ठिरस्याजमीढस्य राज्ञः । अस्ति नूनं कर्म कृतं पुरस्तादनिर्विष्टं पापकं धार्तराष्ट्रैः॥५-४७-६॥
Thus spoke Arjuna, prepared for strategic engagement—bearing the Gāṇḍīva bow, with lotus-reddened eyes: “If the son of Dhṛtarāṣṭra does not relinquish the kingdom belonging to King Yudhiṣṭhira of the Ājamīḍha line, then surely the Dhārtarāṣṭras have committed some prior wrongdoing that has not yet reached its consequence.”
