And in the midst of the engagements they also remember the two sons of Mādrī, ranging across all directions, continuously projecting volleys of arrows upon the opposing forces—two great chariot-warriors, difficult to unsettle in combat.

english translation

O King, I do not think a man can know beforehand what the future will bring. Even you—endowed with every form of dharma—have met with grievous hardship, O Pāṇḍava, in a most difficult guise.

english translation

You yourself, O Ajātaśatru, should examine all this again with discernment. For the sons of Pāṇḍu—each comparable to Indra—would not forsake dharma for the sake of desire or worldly gain.

english translation

You, O Ajātaśatru, should by discernment bring about conciliation, by which they may attain security and well-being—the Dhārtarāṣṭras, the Pāṇḍavas, the Sṛñjayas, and the other assembled kings as well.

english translation

O Ajātaśatru, understand the statement that Dhṛtarāṣṭra—your father—spoke to me at night, after meeting together with his ministers and his sons, O King; heed these words.
