For I have not seen—nor even heard of—anyone on this earth who is equal to, much less superior to, Arjuna; for his hand is acclaimed as a “weaver” of arrows, ever producing sixty-one keen, razor-edged shafts in swift succession.

english translation

Do they remember swift and mighty Bhīmasena, mace in hand, who makes the enemy hosts tremble in the battle-line, ranging among them like a furious elephant in rut trampling through a bed of reeds?

english translation

Do they still remember Sahadeva, son of Mādrī, who at Dantakūra defeated the assembled Kaliṅgas—he who, with left hand and with right, overcame that mighty host?

english translation

O Sañjaya, son of Gāvalgaṇa, before your very eyes Nakula was dispatched at dawn to bring the western quarter under my sway. Do they still remember this son of Mādrī?

english translation

The reverse that befell at Dvaitavana—through ill counsel—when those who came for the cattle-expedition were overpowered: there Bhīmasena, and Jaya as well, freed those who had helplessly fallen under the enemy’s control.
