Dhṛtarāṣṭra said: They say, Sañjaya, that the sons of Pāṇḍu have arrived at Upaplavya—go and ascertain matters there. And you should pay respects to Ajātaśatru (Yudhiṣṭhira). By good fortune, O blameless one, you have reached the settlement.

english translation

Sañjaya, convey greetings of well-being to all. Though they have endured a difficult residence—undeservedly—peaceful settlement is available from us promptly, for those who are virtuous and beneficent, even when they have been met with misrepresentation.

english translation

Never, Sañjaya, have I observed in the Pāṇḍavas any tendency toward false conduct. Though they have gained all prosperity by their own valor, the Pāṇḍavas have nonetheless shown reverence and allegiance to me alone.

english translation

Even upon continual examination, I find no fault in them by which I could censure the Pārthas. They act consistently with dharma and artha; though they value well-being, they do not submit themselves to mere desires.

english translation

Heat and cold, hunger and thirst, sleep and lethargy, anger and elation, and negligence—overcoming these through steadiness and discernment, the Pārthas strive for disciplined alignment with dharma and artha.
