english translation

His warriors, mighty in valor, had gathered from many lands; those heroes, armed with diverse weapons, lent splendor to the host.

With axes, bhiṇḍipālas, spears, tomaras, maces, lances, javelins, battle-axes, pikes, and bright, stainless swords—

english translation

With arrays of swords and bows, and with arrows of many kinds as well—oiled, polished, and shining—the force indeed appeared splendid.

Thus that host, cloud-bright and adorned with those weapons, took on the aspect of a cloud streaked with lightning.
