After my charioteer was killed, O King, as I was discharging arrows at him, Rāma—seeing my attention disrupted—sent missiles of lethal force, as though measured out by Death itself.

english translation

Then Bhārgava (Paraśurāma), having fully drawn his mighty bow, struck me hard with an arrow, as I stood disoriented and distressed by my lot as a sūta.

english translation

O King, the blood-drinking arrow fell upon the space between my collarbones; and with me, O lord of kings, it went down upon the face of the earth.

english translation

Thinking me subdued, Rāma (Paraśurāma), O bull of the Bhāratas, roared aloud like a thundercloud and again and again exulted.

english translation

And when I had fallen, O King, Rāma (Paraśurāma), filled with satisfaction, raised a mighty shout together with his followers.
