Those Kauravas who stood there at the side, and the people who had come to witness that combat—when I fell, they were then seized by the utmost distress.

Then, as I lay fallen, O lion among kings, I beheld eight brāhmaṇas, radiant like the sun and fire. Encircling me on every side, they stood in the midst of the battlefield, supporting me with their own arms.

Guarded by those brāhmaṇas, I did not touch the earth. I remained, as it were, suspended in the air by them, like kinsmen; and, as if in a dream, I was sprinkled with drops of water while in midair.
english translation
Then those brāhmaṇas, O King, holding me fast, all spoke together: “Do not fear,” and again and again, “May well-being be yours.”

Then, satisfied and strengthened by their words, I rose at once. I beheld the foremost of rivers—my mother—seated upon a chariot.
