तथा ब्रुवन्तं तमहं रामं परपुरंजयम् । नैतदेवं पुनर्भावि ब्रह्मर्षे किं श्रमेण ते॥५-१७८-१९॥
As he spoke thus—Rāma, the conqueror of hostile strongholds—I replied: “It will not be so, O brahmarṣi; why should you exert yourself for this?”
