एवंबुद्धिः पाण्डवेषु मिथ्यावृत्तिः सदा भवान् । कथं ते नापराधोऽस्ति पाण्डवेषु महात्मसु॥५-१२६-१६॥
With such an attitude toward the Pāṇḍavas, and with persistent deceitful conduct, how can you claim to be without fault toward those great-souled men?
english translation
कृत्वा बहून्यकार्याणि पाण्डवेषु नृशंसवत् । मिथ्यावृत्तिरनार्यः सन्नद्य विप्रतिपद्यसे॥५-१२६-१७॥
Having done many improper acts toward the Pāṇḍavas with ruthless intent, you—being deceitful and ignoble in conduct—now take a contrary position.

मातापितृभ्यां भीष्मेण द्रोणेन विदुरेण च । शाम्येति मुहुरुक्तोऽसि न च शाम्यसि पार्थिव॥५-१२६-१८॥
Again and again your mother and father, Bhīṣma, Droṇa, and Vidura have told you, “Be pacified”; yet you do not become pacified, O king.
english translation
शमे हि सुमहानर्थस्तव पार्थस्य चोभयोः । न च रोचयसे राजन्किमन्यद्बुद्धिलाघवात्॥५-१२६-१९॥
Indeed, in peace there is great benefit for you and for Pārtha as well—for both sides; yet you do not approve of it, O king. What else explains this except a deficiency of judgment?
english translation
न शर्म प्राप्स्यसे राजन्नुत्क्रम्य सुहृदां वचः । अधर्म्यमयशस्यं च क्रियते पार्थिव त्वया॥५-१२६-२०॥
You will not attain security or well-being, O king, by transgressing the words of your well-wishers; what you are doing is contrary to dharma and brings disrepute, O ruler.
