So too, O Gāndhāra: as long as you do not bring those heroic sons of Pāṇḍu to a decisive defeat in the ordered contest of war, so long will you live, my child.

english translation

Bhīma, foremost among strikers, the mighty son of Vāyu, and Dhanaṃjaya (Arjuna), the son of Indra—whom indeed, in battle, would they be unable to subdue and render powerless?

english translation

Viṣṇu, Vāyu, Śakra (Indra), Dharma, and the two Aśvins—by what reasoning do you imagine you can confront these deities?

english translation

Therefore, enough of opposition—turn to conciliation, O prince. With Vāsudeva as your refuge and purifying support, you ought to preserve your lineage.

english translation

Nārada, this great ascetic, is a direct witness to all this—namely, to the greatness of Viṣṇu, the bearer of discus and mace.
