सम्पूर्णायतमुक्तेनसुपत्रेणसुवर्चसा । महेन्द्राशनिकल्पेनसूतस्यविचरिष्यतः ॥ ६-९०-४१
- with charming plumes, having a good splendour similar to Indra's thunderbolt, hurled with full force on the charioteer, who was driving in circles - ॥ 6-90-41॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptस तेनबाणाशनिनातलशब्दानुवादिना । लाघवाद्राघवःश्रीमान् शिरःकायादपाहरत् ॥ ६-९०-४२
- and it resounded as the thunderbolt, that mighty son of Raghu severed the head of the charioteer from his shoulders with alacrity of his hand. ॥ 6-90-42॥

sa tenabANAzaninAtalazabdAnuvAdinA । lAghavAdrAghavaHzrImAn ziraHkAyAdapAharat ॥ 6-90-42
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस यन्तरि महातेजा हते मन्दोदरीसुतः । स्वयं सारथ्यमकरोत्पुनश्च धनुर्स्पृशत् ॥ ६-९०-४३
When the charioteer got killed, the brilliant son of Mandodari, played the role of charioteer and wielded the bow again. ॥ 6-90-43॥

sa yantari mahAtejA hate mandodarIsutaH । svayaM sArathyamakarotpunazca dhanurspRzat ॥ 6-90-43
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतदद्भुतमभूत्तत्र सामर्थ्यं पश्यतां युधि । हयेषु व्यग्रहस्तं तं विव्याध निशितैः शरैः ॥ ६-९०-४४
For them, who saw his capability in that battle, it looked wonderful. When he was driving his horses, Lakshmana struck him with sharp arrows. ॥ 6-90-44॥

tadadbhutamabhUttatra sAmarthyaM pazyatAM yudhi । hayeSu vyagrahastaM taM vivyAdha nizitaiH zaraiH ॥ 6-90-44
hk transliteration by Sanscriptधनुष्यथ पुनर्व्यग्रे हयेषु मुमुचे शरान् । छिद्रेषु तेषु बाणौघैर्विचरन्तमभीतवत् ॥ ६-९०-४५
When he was attending to his bow, he released arrows on horses. While Indrajith was moving undaunted being hurt, (then) on such opportune occasions with a multitude of arrows . - ॥ 6-90-45॥
