सतस्यगतिमन्विच्छन्राजपुत्रःप्रतापवान् । दिदेशातिबलोरामोदशवानरयूथपान् ॥ ६-४५-१
Rama, the son of the king, a powerful and strong warrior, ordered ten Vanaras to know the whereabouts (of Indrajith). [6-45-1]

द्वौसुषेणस्यदायादौनीलंचप्लवगर्षपम् । अङ्गदंवालिपुत्रंचशरभंचतरस्विनम् ॥ ६-४५-२
(They were) the two sons of Sushena, the monkey, General Nila, Angada the son of Bali, the valiant Sharabha - [6-45-2]

विनतंजाम्बवन्तंचसानुप्रस्थंमहाबलम् । ऋषभंचर्षभस्कन्थमादिदेशपरन्तपः ॥ ६-४५-३
- Vinatha and Jambavantha, Sanuprastha endowed with extraordinary might, Rishabha and Rishabaskandha. Rama the scourger of his enemies ordered them. [6-45-3]

तेसम्प्रहृष्टाहरयोभीमानुद्यम्यपादपान् । आकाशंविविशुस्सर्वेमार्गमाणादिशोदशः ॥ ६-४५-४
All those monkeys, exceedingly rejoiced, held huge trees, and went in ten directions searching and sprang to the sky. [6-45-4]

तेषांवेगवतांवेगमिषुभिर्वेगवत्तरैः । अस्त्रवित्परमास्तैरैस्तुवारयामासरावणिः ॥ ६-४५-५
Ravana's son being skilled in the use of weapons and an expert in mystic powers, he prohibited the speed of the Vanaras with his swift arrows. [6-45-5]
