प्रकम्पयन्जनंघोरोनिर्घातइवदारुणः । सतयोःभ्राजतेशब्दस्तदासमरयत्तयोः ॥ ६-८९-३१

प्रसुस्रुवाते रुधिरं कीर्तिमन्तौ जये धृतौ । ते गात्रयोर्निपतिता रुक्मपुङ्खाः शरा युधि ॥ ६-८९-३३

- glorious warriors, who were determined to gain victory over one another, were profusely giving out blood. Fallen on their limbs, the golden-shafted arrows, dropped on the battle-field - ॥ 6-89-33॥
