तं भूमौ देवसङ्काशं पतितं दृश्य राघवम् । अभिपेतुः समुत्पत्य सर्वतः कपिसत्तमाः ॥ ६-८३-११
On seeing that Rama, who with the semblance of god, falling on the ground, the chiefs of monkeys came bouncing from all sides and rushed towards him. ॥ 6-83-11॥
english translation
taM bhUmau devasaGkAzaM patitaM dRzya rAghavam । abhipetuH samutpatya sarvataH kapisattamAH ॥ 6-83-11
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअसिञ्चन्सलिलैश्चैनं पद्मोत्पलसुगन्धिभिः । प्रदहन्तमसह्यं च सहसाग्निमिवोत्थितम् ॥ ६-८३-१२
Reaching Rama, who was like a burning fire that has risen up and suddenly fallen, the Vanaras sprinkled water with fragrance of lotuses and lilies on Rama just as sprinkling water on an inextinguishable fire that has flared up suddenly. ॥ 6-83-12॥

asiJcansalilaizcainaM padmotpalasugandhibhiH । pradahantamasahyaM ca sahasAgnimivotthitam ॥ 6-83-12
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतं लक्ष्मणोऽथ बाहुभ्यां परिष्वज्य सुदुःखितः । उवाच राममस्वस्थं वाक्यं हेत्वर्थसंहितम् ॥ ६-८३-१३
Then, Lakshmana who was very worried held the arms of Rama who was unwell and spoke these meaningful words. ॥ 6-83-13॥
english translation
taM lakSmaNo'tha bAhubhyAM pariSvajya suduHkhitaH । uvAca rAmamasvasthaM vAkyaM hetvarthasaMhitam ॥ 6-83-13
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशुभे वर्त्मनि तिष्ठन्तं त्वामार्यविजितेन्द्रियम् । अनर्थेभ्यो न शक्नोति त्रातुं धर्मो निरर्थकः ॥ ६-८३-१४
"O venerable brother! Virtue cannot save you, who are sticking to the noble path and who have subdued the senses, from adversities and is (hence) useless." ॥ 6-83-14॥
english translation
zubhe vartmani tiSThantaM tvAmAryavijitendriyam । anarthebhyo na zaknoti trAtuM dharmo nirarthakaH ॥ 6-83-14
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभूतानां स्थावराणां च जङ्गमानां च दर्शनम् । यथास्ति न तथा धर्मस्तेन नास्तीति मे मतिः ॥ ६-८३-१५
"Just as inanimate and animate beings are visible, likewise virtue and vice are not visible. Therefore, my opinion is that virtue is non-existent." ॥ 6-83-15॥
english translation
bhUtAnAM sthAvarANAM ca jaGgamAnAM ca darzanam । yathAsti na tathA dharmastena nAstIti me matiH ॥ 6-83-15
