कथंत्रैलोक्यमाक्रम्यश्रियावीर्येणचान्वितम् । अविषह्यंजघानत्वांमानुषोवनगोचरः ॥ ६-११४-६
"Winning the three worlds by your valour, you are glorious, irresistible and beyond reach. How did the wanderer in the forest strike you?" [6-114-6]
english translation
मानुषाणामविषयेचरतःकामरूपिणः । विनाशस्तवरामेणसम्युगेनोपपद्यते ॥ ६-११४-७
"You lived in an inaccessible place and are capable of assuming any form at will. It is not believable how you have been destroyed by Rama." [6-114-7]

न चैतत्कर्मरामस्यश्रद्धधामिचमूमुखे । सर्वतस्समुपेतस्यतवतेनाभिमर्षणम् ॥ ६-११४-८
"You are always well equipped with the army in the war, so such action (killing you) is not possible for Rama." [6-114-8]
english translation
यदैव च जनस्थानेराक्षसैर्भहुनिर्ववृतः । खरस्तवहतोभ्रातातदैवासौ न मानुषः ॥ ६-११४-९
" At Janasthana your brother Khara, who was surrounded by many Rakshasas, was killed by a mortal in the same manner." [6-114-9]
english translation
यदैवनगरींलङ्कांदुष्प्रवेशांसुरैरपि । प्रविष्टोहनुमान्वीर्यात्तदैवव्यथितावयम् ॥ ६-११४-१०
"To Lanka, which is inaccessible to anyone, Hanuman entered by increasing his valour. Knowing this we worried (that Rama may not be mere mortal)." [6-114-10]
