लक्षणंहिमहत्त्वस्यप्रतिज्ञापरिपालनम् । नैराश्यमुपगन्तुं च नालंतेमत्कृतेऽनघ ॥ ६-१०२-४६

वधेनरावणस्याद्यप्रतिज्ञामनुपालय । नजीवन्यास्यतेशत्रुस्तवबाणपथंगतः ॥ ६-१०२-४७
'Destroy Ravana now and redeem your vow. An enemy who falls victim to your arrows, cannot turn out alive - [6-102-47]

नर्दतस्तीक्षणदंष्ट्रस्यसिंहस्येवमहागजः । अहंतुवधमिच्छामिशीघ्रमस्यदुरात्मनः । यावदस्तं न यात्येषकृतकर्मादिवाकरः ॥ ६-१०२-४८
- just as an elephant fallen into the clutch of a roaring lion with sharp teeth (is not possible to live). I wish to see the destruction of this evil minded one quickly before the sun completes the day and sets.' [6-102-48]

यदिवधमिच्छसिरावणस्यसङ्ख्येयदि च कृतांहितवेच्छसिप्रतिज्ञाम् । यदितवराजसुताभिलाषआर्यकुरु च वचोममशीघ्रमद्यवीर ॥ ६-१०२-४९
'O hero! Noble one! If you wish to kill Ravana in the war and fulfill your vow and longing for the daughter of Janaka you do quickly What I say.' [6-102-49]
