सिंहव्याघ्रैर महानादान नदद्भिर अनुनादितम अपरैश चापि संलीनैर गुहा कन्दरवासिभिः ॥ ३-९८-१६ ॥
'The place resounded with the thunderous roars of lions and tigers, while the formidable rulers of the forest could be seen lounging majestically in caves and glens, enhancing the beauty of the landscape with their regal presence.' ॥ 3-98-16 ॥
english translation
तेषु तेष्व अवकाशेषु शॊभितं सुमनॊरमम तरिविष्टपसमप्रख्यं दधीचाश्रमम आगमन ॥ ३-९८-१७ ॥
'And so it was that the gods entered the asylum of Dadhicha, a place resembling heaven itself.' ॥ 3-98-17 ॥
english translation
तत्रापश्यन ददीचं ते दिवाकरसमद्युतिम जाज्वल्यमानं वपुषा यथा लक्ष्म्या पिता महम ॥ ३-९८-१८ ॥
'There, they beheld Dadhicha, radiant and resplendent like the sun, exuding an aura of grace and majesty akin to that of the Grandsire himself.' ॥ 3-98-18 ॥
english translation
तस्य पादौ सुरा राजन्न अभिवाद्य परणम्य च अयाचन्त वरं सर्वे यथॊक्तं परमेष्ठिना ॥ ३-९८-१९ ॥
'The celestials reverently bowed at the feet of the Rishi, offering their salutations, and earnestly requested the boon that the Grandsire had instructed them to seek.' ॥ 3-98-19 ॥

ततॊ ददीचः परमप्रतीतः; सुरॊत्तमांस तान इदम अभ्युवाच करॊमि यद वॊ हितम अद्य देवाः; सवं चापि देहं तव अहम उत्सृजामि ॥ ३-९८-२० ॥
'Then Dadhicha, greatly pleased, addressed those foremost of the celestials, saying, "O gods, I shall act in your best interest. Indeed, I will willingly renounce this body of mine."' ॥ 3-98-20 ॥
