तत आयव्ययौ दृष्ट्वा समौ सममतिर दविजः सर्वथा पराणिनां पीडाम उपादानाद अमन्यत ॥ ३-९६-११ ॥
'However, the Rishi, who viewed all matters with impartiality, recognized the balance between the king's income and expenditure. He realized that accepting anything in such circumstances would lead to harm for all living beings.' ॥ 3-96-11 ॥
english translation
पौरुकुत्सं ततॊ जग्मुस तरसदस्युं महाधनम अगस्त्यश च शरुतर्वा च वध्र्य अश्वश च महीपतिः ॥ ३-९६-१२ ॥
'Agastya and Shrutarva, accompanied by King Vradhnaswa, then went to Trasadasyu, the son of Purokutsa, renowned for his immense wealth.' ॥ 3-96-12 ॥

तरसदस्युश च तान सर्वान परत्यगृह्णाद यथाविधि अभिगम्य महाराज विषयान्ते स वाहनः ॥ ३-९६-१३ ॥
'Upon learning of their arrival at the borders of his kingdom, the high-souled Trasadasyu came out to greet them with great hospitality.' ॥ 3-96-13 ॥

अर्चयित्वा यथान्यायम इक्ष्वाकू राजसत्तमः समाश्वस्तांस ततॊ ऽपृच्छत परयॊजनम उपक्रमे ॥ ३-९६-१४ ॥
'And that noble monarch of the Ikshvaku lineage, having duly worshiped them all, inquired about the purpose of their visit.' ॥ 3-96-14 ॥

[अ] वित्तकामान इह पराप्तान विद्धि नः पृथिवीपते यथाशक्त्य अविहिंस्यान्यान संविभागं परयच्छ नः ॥ ३-९६-१५ ॥
'Agastya replied, 'O lord of the earth, understand that we have all come to you seeking wealth. Please provide us with what you can, without causing harm to others.'' ॥ 3-96-15 ॥
