तत आयव्ययौ दृष्ट्वा समौ सममतिर दविजः सर्वथा पराणिनां पीडाम उपादानाद अमन्यत ।। ३-९६-११ ।।

sanskrit

'However, the Rishi, who viewed all matters with impartiality, recognized the balance between the king's income and expenditure. He realized that accepting anything in such circumstances would lead to harm for all living beings.' ।। 3-96-11 ।।

english translation

tata Ayavyayau dRSTvA samau samamatira davijaH sarvathA parANinAM pIDAma upAdAnAda amanyata || 3-96-11 ||
