तत्र भॊगवती नाम वासुकेस तीर्थम उत्तमम तत्राभिषेकं यः कुर्यात सॊ ऽशवमेधम अवाप्नुयात ॥ ३-८३-८१ ॥
'At Prayag lies the renowned tirtha of Vasuki, known as Bhogavati. Whoever performs an abhiṣeka (consecration) there attains the merit of an Ashvamedha sacrifice.' ॥ 3-83-81 ॥
english translation
tatra bhògavatI nAma vAsukesa tIrthama uttamama tatrAbhiSekaM yaH kuryAta sò 'zavamedhama avApnuyAta ॥ 3-83-81 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत्र हंसप्रपतनं तीर्थं तरैलॊक्यविश्रुतम दशाश्वमेधिकं चैव गङ्गायां कुरुनन्दन ॥ ३-८३-८२ ॥
'There in the Ganga is the tirtha, renowned throughout the three worlds, called Ramaprapatana, which bestows the merit of ten horse sacrifices. O son of the Kuru race!' ॥ 3-83-82 ॥
english translation
tatra haMsaprapatanaM tIrthaM tarailòkyavizrutama dazAzvamedhikaM caiva gaGgAyAM kurunandana ॥ 3-83-82 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयत्र गङ्गा महाराज स देशस तत तपॊवनम सिद्धक्षेत्रं तु तज जञेयं गङ्गातीरसमाश्रितम ॥ ३-८३-८३ ॥
'O great king, where the Ganga flows, that place is a sacred grove. Know that area to be a realm of spiritual attainment, situated along the banks of the Ganga.' ॥ 3-83-83 ॥
english translation
yatra gaGgA mahArAja sa dezasa tata tapòvanama siddhakSetraM tu taja jaJeyaM gaGgAtIrasamAzritama ॥ 3-83-83 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइदं सत्यं दविजातीनां साधूनाम आत्मजस्य च सुहृदां च जपेत कर्णे शिष्यस्यानुगतस्य च ॥ ३-८३-८४ ॥
'This truth should be whispered into the ear of twice-born (Brahmins), the virtuous, one's own child, And to friends, disciples, and followers.' ॥ 3-83-84 ॥
english translation
idaM satyaM davijAtInAM sAdhUnAma Atmajasya ca suhRdAM ca japeta karNe ziSyasyAnugatasya ca ॥ 3-83-84 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइदं धर्म्यम इदं पुण्यम इदं मेध्यम इदं सुखम इदं सवर्ग्यम इदं रम्यम इदं पावनम उत्तमम ॥ ३-८३-८५ ॥
'This is righteous, this is meritorious, this is pure, this is pleasant, This leads to heaven, this is delightful, this is supremely purifying.' ॥ 3-83-85 ॥

idaM dharmyama idaM puNyama idaM medhyama idaM sukhama idaM savargyama idaM ramyama idaM pAvanama uttamama ॥ 3-83-85 ॥
