ततॊ गच्छेत राजेन्द्र धेनुकां लॊकविश्रुताम एकरत्रॊषितॊ राजन परयच्छेत तिलधेनुकाम सर्वपापविशुद्धात्मा सॊमलॊकं वरजेद धरुवम ॥ ३-८२-७६ ॥
'Next, O mighty monarch, one should journey to Denuka, celebrated throughout the world. By staying there for one night and donating sesame and cows, one’s soul, cleansed of all sins, undoubtedly ascends to the realm of Soma.' ॥ 3-82-76 ॥
english translation
तत्र चिह्नं महाराज अद्यापि हि न संशयः कपिला सह वत्सेन पर्वते विचरत्य उत स वत्सायाः पदानि सम दृश्यन्ते ऽदयापि भारत ॥ ३-८२-७७ ॥
'There, O king, the cow named Kapila roamed the mountains with her calf. There is little doubt about this, O Bharata; the hoofprints of both the cow and her calf can still be seen there today.' ॥ 3-82-77 ॥
english translation
तेषूपस्पृश्य राजेन्द्र पदेषु नृपसत्तम यत किं चिद अशुभं कर्म तत परणश्यति भारत ॥ ३-८२-७८ ॥
'By bathing in those hoofprints, O foremost of monarchs, any sin a person may have committed is washed away, O Bharata.' ॥ 3-82-78 ॥

ततॊ गृध्रवटं गच्छेत सथानं देवस्य धीमतः सनायीत भस्मना तत्र अभिगम्य वृषध्वजम ॥ ३-८२-७९ ॥
'Then, one should go to Gṛdhra-vata, the sacred site of the trident-bearing god. Upon approaching the deity marked by the bull, one should rub oneself with ashes.' ॥ 3-82-79 ॥

बराह्मणेन भवेच चीर्णं वरतं दवादश वार्षिकम इतरेषां तु वर्णानां सर्वपापं परणश्यति ॥ ३-८२-८० ॥
'If a Brahmana, he gains the merit of observing the twelve-year vow; if from any other order, he is freed from all his sins.' ॥ 3-82-80 ॥
