गच्छेत तत उद्यन्तं पर्वतं गीतनादितम सावित्रं तु पदं तत्र दृश्यते भरतर्षभ ॥ ३-८२-८१ ॥
'Next, one should proceed to the Udyanta mountains, resonating with melodious sounds. There, O bull of the Bharata race, is still seen the foot-print of Savitri.' ॥ 3-82-81 ॥
english translation
तत्र संध्याम उपासीत बराह्मणः संशितव्रतः उपास्ता च भवेत संध्या तेन दवादश वार्षिकी ॥ ३-८२-८२ ॥
'The Brahmana of rigorous vows who recites his morning, noon, and evening prayers there attains the merit of performing this service for twelve years.' ॥ 3-82-82 ॥
english translation
यॊनिद्वारं च तत्रैव विश्रुतं भरतर्षभ तत्राभिगम्य मुच्येत पुरुषॊ यॊनिसंकरात ॥ ३-८२-८३ ॥
'There, O bull of the Bharata race, lies the renowned Yonidwara. By going there, one becomes free from the suffering of rebirth.' ॥ 3-82-83 ॥
english translation
कृष्ण शुक्लाव उभौ पक्षौ गयायां यॊ वसेन नरः पुनात्य आ सप्तमं राजन कुलं नास्त्य अत्र संशयः ॥ ३-८२-८४ ॥
'A person who stays at Gayā during both the dark and light fortnights certainly sanctifies his lineage up to the seventh generation, O king.' ॥ 3-82-84 ॥
english translation
एष्टव्या बहवः पुत्रा यद्य एकॊ ऽपि गयां वरजेत यजेत वाश्वमेधेन नीलं वा वृषम उत्सृजेत ॥ ३-८२-८५ ॥
'One should desire many sons so that at least one may visit Gayā, or perform the horse-sacrifice, or offer a blue bull.' ॥ 3-82-85 ॥
