ततश चीरवतीं गच्छेत पुण्यां पुण्यतमैर वृताम पितृदेवार्चन रतॊ वाजपेयम अवाप्नुयात ॥ ३-८२-६१ ॥
'Then, one should journey to the sacred Kshiravati, frequented by those of even greater holiness. By worshipping the gods and the ancestors there, one attains the merit of the Vājapeya sacrifice.' ॥ 3-82-61 ॥
english translation
विमलाशॊकम आसाद्य विराजति यथा शशी तत्रॊष्य रजनीम एकां सवर्गलॊके महीयते ॥ ३-८२-६२ ॥
'Upon reaching Vimalasoka, with a controlled mind and observing the vow of Brahmacharya, one who resides there for a single night is honored in the heavens.' ॥ 3-82-62 ॥
english translation
गॊप्रतारं ततॊ गच्छेत सरय्वास तीर्थम उत्तमम यत्र रामॊ गतः सवर्गं स भृत्यबलवाहनः ॥ ३-८२-६३ ॥
'Next, one should journey to the sacred Gopratra on the Sarayu, from which Rāma, O king, along with all his attendants and animals, renounced his body and ascended to heaven, solely due to the sanctity of that tirtha.' ॥ 3-82-63 ॥
english translation
देहं तयक्त्वा दिवं यातस तस्य तीर्थस्य तेजसा रामस्य च परसादेन वयवसायाच च भारत ॥ ३-८२-६४ ॥
'Bathing in that tirtha, O Bharata, one’s soul becomes purified of all sins through Rāma's grace and one's own virtuous deeds, and thus one is honored in heaven. O Bharata!' ॥ 3-82-64 ॥
english translation
तस्मिंस तीर्थे नरः सनात्वा गॊमत्यां कुरुनन्दन सर्वपापविशुद्धात्मा सवर्गलॊके महीयते ॥ ३-८२-६५ ॥
'Having bathed in that sacred ford (tīrtha) in the Gomati river, O joy of the Kurus, A person becomes cleansed of all sins and is honored in the heavenly realm.' ॥ 3-82-65 ॥
