यदि तव अहम अनुग्राह्यस तव धर्मभृतां वर वक्ष्यामि हृत्स्थं संदेहं तन मे तवं वक्तुम अर्हसि ॥ ३-८०-२६ ॥
'But, O you foremost among the virtuous, if I have earned your favor, I will share my doubts with you. It is fitting that you dispel them, please, enlighten me on this matter .' ॥ 3-80-26 ॥
english translation
अस्ति मे भगवन कश चित तीर्थेभ्यॊ धर्मसंशयः तम अहं शरॊतुम इच्छामि पृथक संकीर्तितं तवया ॥ ३-८०-२७ ॥
'I have questions regarding the tirthas; please speak to me about them in detail, for I wish to hear your wisdom.' ॥ 3-80-27 ॥
english translation
परदक्षिणं यः पृथिवीं करॊत्य अमितविक्रम किं फलं तस्य विप्रर्षे तन मे बरूहि तपॊधन ॥ ३-८०-२८ ॥
'O you who resemble a celestial being, what merit does one attain, O regenerated sage, by circumambulating the entire Earth while visiting shrines? Please, convey this to me with certainty' ॥ 3-80-28 ॥
english translation
[प] हन्त ते ऽहं परवक्ष्यामि यद ऋषीणां परायणम तद एकाग्रमनास तात शृणु तीर्थेषु यत फलम ॥ ३-८०-२९ ॥
'Pulastya said: "O son, listen carefully. I shall explain the merit associated with the tirthas, which serves as the refuge for the Rishis."' ॥ 3-80-29 ॥
english translation
यस्य हस्तौ च पादौ च मनश चैव सुसंयतम विद्या तपश च कीर्तिश च स तीर्थफलम अश्नुते ॥ ३-८०-३० ॥
'He whose hands, feet, mind, knowledge, asceticism, and actions are all well-controlled enjoys the fruits of the tirthas.' ॥ 3-80-30 ॥
