साक्षाद देवान अपाहाय वृतॊ यः स मया पुरा अनुव्रतां साभिकामां पुत्रिणीं तयक्तवान कथम ।। ३-७४-१२ ।।

sanskrit

'Why should he, whom I once chose over the gods themselves, abandon his devoted and affectionate wife, who has also become the mother of his children?' ।। 3-74-12 ।।

english translation

sAkSAda devAna apAhAya vRtò yaH sa mayA purA anuvratAM sAbhikAmAM putriNIM tayaktavAna kathama || 3-74-12 ||
