एवम उक्ते नलेनाथ तदा भाङ्गस्वरिर नृपः आससाद वने राजन फलवन्तं बिभीतकम ॥ ३-७०-६ ॥
'After Nala spoke to him in this manner, O king, the royal son of Bhangasura came across a Vibhitaka tree laden with fruits in the forest.' ॥ 3-70-6 ॥

तं दृष्ट्वा बाहुकं राजा तवरमाणॊ ऽभयभाषत ममापि सूत पश्य तवं संख्याने परमं बलम ॥ ३-७०-७ ॥
'Seeing the tree, the king swiftly addressed Vahuka, saying, "O charioteer, witness my remarkable skill in measurement!"' ॥ 3-70-7 ॥

सर्वः सर्वं न जानाति सर्वज्ञॊ नास्ति कश चन नैकत्र परिनिष्ठास्ति जञानस्य पुरुषे कव चित ॥ ३-७०-८ ॥
'Not all men possess complete knowledge; no one is an expert in every art or science. True understanding cannot be confined to a single individual.' ॥ 3-70-8 ॥

वृक्षे ऽसमिन यानि पर्णानि फलान्य अपि च बाहुक पतितानि च यान्य अत्र तत्रैकम अधिकं शतम एकपत्राधिकं पत्रं फलम एकं च बाहुक ॥ ३-७०-९ ॥
'O Vahuka, I observe that the leaves and fruits of this tree lying on the ground exceed those still attached to it by precisely one hundred and one.' ॥ 3-70-9 ॥

पञ्च कॊट्यॊ ऽथ पत्राणां दवयॊर अपि च शाखयॊः परचिनुह्य अस्य शाखे दवे याश चाप्य अन्याः परशाखिकाः आभ्यां फलसहस्रे दवे पञ्चॊनं शतम एव च ॥ ३-७०-१० ॥
'Five crores of leaves are on two branches, Gather these two branches and other small branches too. From these, there are two thousand fruits and ninety-five.' ॥ 3-70-10 ॥
