सत्कृतासत्कृता वापि पतिं दृष्ट्वा तथागतम भरष्टराज्यं शरिया हीनं शयामा न करॊद्धुम अर्हति ॥ ३-६८-११ ॥
'Whether treated with respect or neglect, a wife should never give in to anger upon seeing her husband in such a condition—stripped of his kingdom, bereft of fortune, afflicted by hunger, and weighed down by misfortune.' ॥ 3-68-11 ॥
english translation
तस्य तद वचनं शरुत्वा तवरितॊ ऽहम इहागतः शरुत्वा परमाणं भवती राज्ञश चैव निवेदय ॥ ३-६८-१२ ॥
'After hearing these words, I hastened here without delay. Now that you have heard everything, decide what you think is best and inform the king accordingly.' ॥ 3-68-12 ॥
english translation
एतच छरुत्वाश्रुपूर्णाक्षी पर्णादस्य विशां पते दमयन्ती रहॊ ऽभयेत्य मातरं परत्यभाषत ॥ ३-६८-१३ ॥
'O King, upon hearing Parnada's words, Damayanti, her eyes brimming with tears, approached her mother in private and spoke to her.' ॥ 3-68-13 ॥

अयम अर्थॊ न संवेद्यॊ भीमे मातः कथं चन तवत्संनिधौ समादेक्ष्ये सुदेवं दविजसत्तमम ॥ ३-६८-१४ ॥
'O Mother, under no circumstances should King Bhima be informed of my intentions. In your presence, I shall entrust this task to Sudeva, the most esteemed of Brahmanas.' ॥ 3-68-14 ॥

यथा न नृपतिर भीमः परतिपद्येत मे मतम तथा तवया परयत्तव्यं मम चेत परियम इच्छसि ॥ ३-६८-१५ ॥
'If you wish for my well-being, ensure that King Bhima remains unaware of my intentions.' ॥ 3-68-15 ॥
