सूतस तस्य नरेन्द्रस्य विरूपॊ हरस्वबाहुकः शीघ्रयाने सुकुशलॊ मृष्टकर्ता च भॊजने ॥ ३-६८-६ ॥
'He was of unappealing appearance and had notably short arms. And he is skillful in driving with speed, and well acquainted with the culinary art.' ॥ 3-68-6 ॥
english translation
स विनिःश्वस्य बहुशॊ रुदित्वा च मुहुर मुहुः कुशलं चैव मां पृष्ट्वा पश्चाद इदम अभाषत ॥ ३-६८-७ ॥
'After sighing repeatedly and weeping time and again, he inquired about my well-being and then spoke these words:' ॥ 3-68-7 ॥

वैषम्यम अपि संप्राप्ता गॊपायन्ति कुलस्त्रियः आत्मानम आत्मना सत्यॊ जितस्वर्गा न संशयः रहिता भर्तृभिश चैव न करुध्यन्ति कदा चन ॥ ३-६८-८ ॥
'Chaste women, even in times of distress, safeguard their virtue and thereby ensure their place in heaven. Though they may be abandoned by their partners, they remain steadfast and choose not to harbor resentment.' ॥ 3-68-8 ॥
english translation
विषमस्थेन मूढेन परिभ्रष्टसुखेन च यत सा तेन परित्यक्ता तत्र न करॊद्धुम अर्हति ॥ ३-६८-९ ॥
'Chaste women lead their lives encased in the armor of virtuous behavior. They have no reason for anger, for the one who abandoned them is himself overwhelmed by misfortune and devoid of all happiness.' ॥ 3-68-9 ॥

पराणयात्रां परिप्रेप्सॊः शकुनैर हृतवाससः आधिभिर दह्यमानस्य शयामा न करॊद्धुम अर्हति ॥ ३-६८-१० ॥
'A virtuous and graceful woman should not harbor anger towards a man who, while struggling to find sustenance, was robbed of his garments by birds and is now consumed by sorrow.' ॥ 3-68-10 ॥
