नलॊ नाम नृपश्रेष्ठॊ देवराजसमद्युतिः मम भर्ता विशालाक्षः पूर्णेन्दुवदनॊ ऽरिहा ॥ ३-६१-७६ ॥

'Graceful and devout, he conquers hostile towns, shining with a brilliance akin to that of the celestial lord. With large, moon-like eyes, he embodies beauty and valor.' ॥ 3-61-76 ॥

आहर्ता करतुमुख्यानां वेदवेदाङ्गपारगः सपत्नानां मृधे हन्ता रविसॊमसमप्रभः ॥ ३-६१-७७ ॥

'He is the performer of great sacrifices, knowledgeable in the Vedas and their various branches. A destroyer of enemies in battle, he shines with a brilliance comparable to that of the sun and the moon.' ॥ 3-61-77 ॥

स कैश चिन निकृतिप्रज्ञैर अकल्याणैर नराधमैः आहूय पृथिवीपालः सत्यधर्मपरायणः देवने कुशलैर जिह्मैर जितॊ राज्यं वसूनि च ॥ ३-६१-७८ ॥

'That king, devoted to truth and righteousness, was called to a game of dice by deceitful individuals of low character, lacking in culture and integrity. Skilled in trickery, they stripped him of his wealth and kingdom.' ॥ 3-61-78 ॥

sa kaiza cina nikRtiprajJaira akalyANaira narAdhamaiH AhUya pRthivIpAlaH satyadharmaparAyaNaH devane kuzalaira jihmaira jitò rAjyaM vasUni ca ॥ 3-61-78 ॥

'Know that I am the wife of that great king, recognized by all as Damayanti, yearning to discover my missing lord.' ॥ 3-61-79 ॥

'With a heavy heart, I wander through the woods, mountains, lakes, rivers, and groves in search of my husband—Nala, skilled in battle, noble in spirit, and well-versed in weaponry.' ॥ 3-61-80 ॥
