तां रत्नभूतां लॊकस्य परार्थयन्तॊ महीक्षितः काङ्क्षन्ति सम विशेषेण बलवृत्रनिषूदन ॥ ३-५१-२१ ॥
'All the lords of the earth eagerly desire to possess that precious jewel, seeking her with great longing, O slayer of Vala and Vritra.' ॥ 3-51-21 ॥

tAM ratnabhUtAM lòkasya parArthayantò mahIkSitaH kAGkSanti sama vizeSeNa balavRtraniSUdana ॥ 3-51-21 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएतस्मिन कथ्यमाने तु लॊकपालाश च साग्निकाः आजग्मुर देवराजस्य समीपम अमरॊत्तमाः ॥ ३-५१-२२ ॥
'While they were speaking, the foremost of the immortals, the Lokapalas, with Agni among them, appeared before the lord of the celestials.' ॥ 3-51-22 ॥

etasmina kathyamAne tu lòkapAlAza ca sAgnikAH Ajagmura devarAjasya samIpama amaròttamAH ॥ 3-51-22 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततस तच छुश्रुवुः सर्वे नारदस्य वचॊ महत शरुत्वा चैवाब्रुवन हृष्टा गच्छामॊ वयम अप्य उत ॥ ३-५१-२३ ॥
'Upon hearing Narada's weighty words, they were filled with joy and exclaimed, 'We, too, shall go there!'' ॥ 3-51-23 ॥

tatasa taca chuzruvuH sarve nAradasya vacò mahata zarutvA caivAbruvana hRSTA gacchAmò vayama apya uta ॥ 3-51-23 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः सर्वे महाराज सगणाः सहवाहनाः विदर्भान अभितॊ जग्मुर यत्र सर्वे महीक्षितः ॥ ३-५१-२४ ॥
'O mighty monarch, accompanied by their attendants and mounted on their chariots, they set out for the land of Vidarbha, where all the kings had gathered.' ॥ 3-51-24 ॥

tataH sarve mahArAja sagaNAH sahavAhanAH vidarbhAna abhitò jagmura yatra sarve mahIkSitaH ॥ 3-51-24 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनलॊ ऽपि राजा कौन्तेय शरुत्वा राज्ञां समागमम अभ्यगच्छद अदीनात्मा दमयन्तीम अनुव्रतः ॥ ३-५१-२५ ॥
'And, O son of Kunti, the noble King Nala, hearing of the gathering of kings, set out with a joyful heart, filled with love for Damayanti.' ॥ 3-51-25 ॥

nalò 'pi rAjA kaunteya zarutvA rAjJAM samAgamama abhyagacchada adInAtmA damayantIma anuvrataH ॥ 3-51-25 ॥
