शस्त्रेण निधनं काले ये गच्छन्त्य अपराङ्मुखाः अयं लॊकॊ ऽकषयस तेषां यथैव मम कामधुक ॥ ३-५१-१६ ॥
'The righteous rulers of the earth, who fight with no desire for life and face death in battle without fleeing the field, attain this eternal realm, which fulfills all desires, just as it does for me.' ॥ 3-51-16 ॥
english translation
कव नु ते कषत्रियाः शूरा न हि पश्यामि तान अहम आगच्छतॊ महीपालान अतिथीन दयितान मम ॥ ३-५१-१७ ॥
'Where are those Kshatriya heroes? I do not see the kings approaching. Where are my beloved guests?' ॥ 3-51-17 ॥
english translation
एवम उक्तस तु शक्रेण नारदः परत्यभाषत शृणु मे भगवन येन न दृश्यन्ते महीक्षितः ॥ ३-५१-१८ ॥
'Thus addressed by Sakra, Narada replied, "Listen, O Mahavat, to why you do not see the kings at this time."' ॥ 3-51-18 ॥

विदर्भराजदुहिता दमयन्तीति विश्रुता रूपेण समतिक्रान्ता पृथिव्यां सर्वयॊषितः ॥ ३-५१-१९ ॥
'The ruler of Vidarbha has a daughter, the renowned Damayanti, who surpasses all women on earth in beauty.' ॥ 3-51-19 ॥
english translation
तस्याः सवयंवरः शक्र भविता नचिराद इव तत्र गच्छन्ति राजानॊ राजपुत्राश च सर्वशः ॥ ३-५१-२० ॥
'Her swayamvara, O Sakra, will take place soon. Kings and princes are coming from all directions to attend.' ॥ 3-51-20 ॥
