[धृ] यन माब्रवीद विदुरॊ दयूतकाले; तवं पाण्डवाञ जेष्यसि चेन नरेन्द्र धरुवं कुरूणाम अयम अन्तकालॊ; महाभयॊ भविता शॊणितौघः ॥ ३-४८-४० ॥

'Dhritarashtra said, "What Vidura warned me during the gambling match—that if you, O king, seek to defeat the Pandavas at dice, it will surely lead to a terrible bloodshed resulting in the destruction of all the Kurus.' ॥ 3-48-40 ॥

english translation

[dhR] yana mAbravIda vidurò dayUtakAle; tavaM pANDavAJa jeSyasi cena narendra dharuvaM kurUNAma ayama antakAlò; mahAbhayò bhavitA zòNitaughaH ॥ 3-48-40 ॥
