वाचयित्वा दविजश्रेष्ठान अद्यैव गजसाह्वयम अस्त्रविद्भिः परिवृतॊ भरातृभिर दृठ धन्विभिः आशीविषसमैर वीरैर मरुद्भिर इव वृत्रहा ।। ३-३४-८१ ।।

sanskrit

'Go forth this very day to Hastinapura, so that thou mayest distribute the spoils of victory to the Brahmanas. Surrounded by your brothers, steadfast in their archery, and by heroic warriors skilled in arms and as formidable as poisonous serpents, set forth like the slayer of Vritra surrounded by the Maruts.' ।। 3-34-81 ।।

vAcayitvA davijazreSThAna adyaiva gajasAhvayama astravidbhiH parivRtò bharAtRbhira dRTha dhanvibhiH AzIviSasamaira vIraira marudbhira iva vRtrahA || 3-34-81 ||

शरियम आदत्स्व कौन्तेय धार्तराष्ट्रान महाबल न हि गाण्डीवमुक्तानां शराणां गार्ध्रवाससाम ।। ३-३४-८२ ।।

'And, O son of Kunti, use your might to crush your weak enemies as Indra crushes the Asuras. Seize from Dhritarashtra's son the prosperity he enjoys. There is no mortal who can endure the touch of arrows, equipped with vulture feathers and resembling virulent snakes, that are shot from the Gandiva.' ।। 3-34-82 ।।

'And, O Bharata, there is neither a warrior, nor an elephant, nor a horse that can withstand the force of my mace when I am enraged in battle.' ।। 3-34-83 ।।

'Why, O son of Kunti, should we not reclaim our kingdom from the enemy with the help of the Sṛñjayas, the Kekayas, and the foremost among the Vṛṣṇis?' ।। 3-34-84 ।।
