बराह्मणेभ्यॊ ददद गरामान गाश च राजन सहस्रशः मुच्यते सर्वपापेभ्यस तमॊभ्य इव चन्द्रमाः ॥ ३-३४-७६ ॥
'Just as the moon emerges from the clouds and dispels darkness, the king is purified from all sins by generously bestowing thousands of villages and cows upon Brahmanas.' ॥ 3-34-76 ॥
english translation
barAhmaNebhyò dadada garAmAna gAza ca rAjana sahasrazaH mucyate sarvapApebhyasa tamòbhya iva candramAH ॥ 3-34-76 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपौरजानपदाः सर्वे परायशः कुरुनन्दन सवृद्धबालाः सहिताः शंसन्ति तवां युधिष्ठिर ॥ ३-३४-७७ ॥
'Nearly all the citizens and residents of the realm, whether young or old, O son of the Kuru race, extol your virtues, O Yudhishthira!' ॥ 3-34-77 ॥
english translation
paurajAnapadAH sarve parAyazaH kurunandana savRddhabAlAH sahitAH zaMsanti tavAM yudhiSThira ॥ 3-34-77 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशवदृतौ कषीरम आसक्तं बरह्म वा वृषले यथा सत्यं सतेने बलं नार्यां राज्यं दुर्यॊधने तथा ॥ ३-३४-७८ ॥
'Thus, O Bharata, people are saying among themselves: as milk in a leather bag, the Vedas in a Sudra, truth in a thief, and strength in a woman, so is sovereignty in Duryodhana.' ॥ 3-34-78 ॥
english translation
zavadRtau kaSIrama AsaktaM barahma vA vRSale yathA satyaM satene balaM nAryAM rAjyaM duryòdhane tathA ॥ 3-34-78 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइति निर्वचनं लॊके चिरं चरति भारत अपि चैतत सत्रियॊ बालाः सवाध्यायम इव कुर्वते ॥ ३-३४-७९ ॥
'Even women and children repeat this as though it were a lesson they strive to memorize.' ॥ 3-34-79 ॥
english translation
iti nirvacanaM lòke ciraM carati bhArata api caitata satriyò bAlAH savAdhyAyama iva kurvate ॥ 3-34-79 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस भवान रथम आस्थाय सर्वॊपकरणान्वितम तवरमाणॊ ऽभिनिर्यातु चिरम अर्थॊपपादकम ॥ ३-३४-८० ॥
'Therefore, mount thy chariot, equipped with all necessary implements, and swiftly proceed, making the Brahmanas bless thee.' ॥ 3-34-80 ॥

sa bhavAna rathama AsthAya sarvòpakaraNAnvitama tavaramANò 'bhiniryAtu cirama arthòpapAdakama ॥ 3-34-80 ॥
