अनर्थं संशयावस्थं वृण्वते मुक्तसंशयाः धीरा नराः कर्म रता न तु निःसंशयं कव चित ॥ ३-३३-४० ॥

'O King, when a person works diligently, even if he does not achieve success, he clears his debts to the gods. Conversely, an idle person, who shirks from effort, will face adversity. An active and skilled individual, however, is destined to succeed and attain prosperity.' ॥ 3-33-40 ॥
